“L’istante e l’eternità, tra noi e gli antichi” is an exhibition held in the Great Halls of the Baths of Diocletian, reopened to the public for the occasion after many years. Through some 300 exceptional pieces including Greek, Roman, Etruscan, medieval, modern and contemporary works, the exhibition explores in unexpected and spectacular ways the complex and varied relationship we have with the ancients. The exhibition was curated by Massimo Osanna, Stéphane Verger, Maria Luisa Catoni and Demetrios Athanasoulis and promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sport. The exhibition event was organised by the General Directorate for Museums and the National Roman Museum in collaboration with Electa.
