Mazzolini Giuseppucci historic pharmacy

Fabriano, 2019

The former Mazzolini-Giuseppucci pharmacy is a historic family pharmacy now converted into a museum. The wooden furnishings were created by the Perugian artist Adolfo Ricci between about 1896 and 1899. The decoration is a ‘carved book’ unique in Italy, telling the story of man’s progress through science. In the vault and along the walls one can read about some of the most important chemical, physical and medical discoveries, told through the portraits of 25 scientists who were protagonists. The cupboards house a collection of Ginori porcelain where medicinal herbs were originally stored.
