Krujë, 2021
Krujë Castle, located in the town of the same name, was built from the 4th century AD onwards. Its current expansion was achieved in the 12th century, during the Byzantine occupation. The site became famous for its impregnability during the Ottoman siege The massive building inside was historically owned by Pasha Toptami and now houses the Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu National Museum.
