Giglio Island (in progress)
The village of Giglio Castello was erected by the Pisans in the 12th century A.D. The imposing walls interspersed with ten watchtowers enclose the Aldobrandesque fortress and the church of St. Peter the Apostle. The public lighting project is expected to reinforce the visual identity of the village, reconstituting the image even at night: the rock base, walls, towers, monuments and alleys are the characteristic elements the project plans to reemerge even during the night, emphasizing the castle’s privileged position on the island
